New to a tricky tray event? A tricky tray is like a raffle but with a twist! At our Indian Lake Women's Club Tricky Tray, attendees purchase tickets and use them to bid on themed baskets and prizes of their choice. Each prize has its own ticket container, so you decide which items you want to try to win. The more tickets you put in, the better your chances!
Our event is open to current ILCC members and their non-resident guests. The tricky tray event raises several thousand dollars each year to support the lake, clubhouse upkeep and social events. You can win exciting prizes while giving back to our community. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned participant, it's always a night full of energy, fun, and friendly competition!
Prize shopping starts a few hours before the event, to give you plenty of time to check out the options, buy more tickets if desired and drop them into prize containers. Later that night, at the event, numbers will be called and excited winners get their prizes.
Watch the Crier and ILCC emails for dates, times and details. Good advice is to get there early enough to browse all the prizes. There will be hundreds! So, give yourself at least 40 minutes to take it all in.
Here's what you'll likely see the night of the event…
1. A huge variety of gift cards and floor prizes. The price of entry will give you one sheet of 20+ tickets to bid on any of these. Most of the donations are by lake friends and neighbors ranging in value from $20 to $100+.
2. Pink and Gold Tickets are a bit more expensive because they are for high value prizes (think kayaks, paddle boards, baskets of booze, large-screen TVs, free Indian Lake CC membership, vacation packages, etc.)
A note on vacation packages: Many of our members have taken advantage of these fabulous trips, which include hotel accommodations and meals in Barbados, Aruba and other tropical locations. The packages represent a huge discount but there are fees and flights to pay for. Please don't expect them to be all-expense-paid trips.
3. A "Lottery Ticket Tree" -- yes look for a tree on the prize floor and 50/50 raffle tickets.
